We’re your neighbours, driven by a simple belief: that kindness, shared locally, can change lives. We connect Black Country residents who want to help with those facing hardship (through no fault of their own) right here in our community.
From the Black Country, For the Black Country: The Goodwill Revolution
£1 a week: Small change, big impact in the Black Country
Have you ever wanted to donate but felt overwhelmed by choices?
Ached to help others but didn’t know where to start?
Wondered where your donations were going or who they’re impacting?
The Goodwill Revolution is the answer. We’re a local, volunteer-run organisation connecting those who can give with those in need, right here in the Black Country.
For less than a loaf of bread a week (£1), you can transform lives in the Black Country. We’ll keep you updated on exactly who your contribution helps.
How Your Donations Help
Help us hit our £10,000 target and make a real difference!
We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to your incredible support, we have reached our initial fundraising target of £5,000! But this is just the beginning. To ensure we can provide substantial, direct support to every family in crisis across the Black Country, we have increased our goal to £10,000. We want to keep helping as many people as possible – and we can only achieve this next monumental step with your continued generosity.
Every pound you donate brings us closer to making a significant impact on local lives. Your support empowers us to provide meaningful assistance where it’s needed most.
See the pledges we’ve already made on our ‘News‘ page, and please, help us spread the word. Tell your friends, tell your family; ask them to get involved! Together, we can build a stronger, more supportive community.
100% of your donation directly supports the good causes we champion.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of grants, such as the Co-op Community Grant, and valued corporate sponsorships from S W Turner and Mainline Surfacing, our essential operational costs are fully covered. This means 100% of your kind donations directly reach individuals and families in crisis, funding their support entirely.
Our running costs – including accounting fees, insurance, website maintenance, and transaction fees – are secured, allowing your generosity to be used strictly for acts of kindness. Furthermore, please know that The Goodwill Revolution is run entirely on a voluntary basis, completed passionately in our own spare time!
Who We Are
The Goodwill Revolution – Your Kindness, Amplified
The Goodwill Revolution is a movement built on the incredible kindness already present in the Black Country. We recognise the overwhelming generosity of our community – with over half of us already giving to charity – and we’re here to amplify that goodwill, focusing it where it’s needed most: right here at home. We understand the desire to help, the ache to make a difference, and the frustration of not knowing where to start or how much impact your donation truly has. We’re here to bridge that gap.
Our Mission
We provide immediate, tangible support to individuals and families facing adversity and crisis through no fault of their own. We are entirely reliant on small, accessible donations of just £1 a week, which allows us to accept anonymous referrals exclusively from trusted professionals who work directly with the public. This ensures our aid is delivered discreetly and effectively to those who need it most, providing hope and stability during their most difficult times.
Our Vision
Imagine a Black Country where, in that moment when your world is unexpectedly turned upside down, you’re not left to fall.
Our vision is a community where the collective goodwill of neighbours creates a safety net, ensuring every family in crisis finds immediate comfort, restored dignity, and the genuine hope they need to get back on their feet.
Our Values
Kindness Amplified
We celebrate and harness the existing kindness within the Black Country, channeling it towards maximum impact in our local community.
Local Focus
We prioritise supporting those in need within the Black Country, ensuring that donations directly benefit our neighbours and strengthen our community.
Transparency and Trust
We are committed to complete transparency, ensuring that 100% of donations go directly to those in need. We have been fortunate to secure corporate sponsorships that have agreed to cover minimal, essential running costs to ensure the long-term sustainability and effectiveness of The Goodwill Revolution. We believe in building trust through clear communication and demonstrable impact.
Accessibility and Simplicity
We make giving easy and accessible, removing the overwhelm and uncertainty often associated with charitable giving. Giving £1 a week can make a real difference.
Collaboration and Partnership
We actively work alongside and support other local charities on a personal basis when possible. Crucially, we also receive referrals from various other organisations and charities who look to The Goodwill Revolution for targeted support for their service users and clients. We are always seeking collaborations with businesses that share our commitment to community well-being.
Impact-Driven
We are dedicated to making a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve, focusing on providing essential support for food, furniture, clothing, shelter, heating, and even medical equipment/counselling support.
Community Empowerment
We believe in empowering the community to be the change they wish to see, fostering a sense of collective responsibility and shared purpose.
