We are still buzzing with excitement after the incredible success of our very first solo fundraising event held on Saturday 11th October! We are overjoyed to report that we couldn’t have asked for a better turnout, and by all accounts, the evening was enjoyed by everyone who attended!
Community Kindness Maximised Our Proceeds
The generosity of our community was truly the secret to the evening’s phenomenal success, allowing us to maximise our proceeds for the cause.
A huge, special thank you goes out to Black Country Radio and Busking for Charity for providing some absolutely awesome entertainment—FOR FREE! Their kindness meant that guests were entertained all evening, and we had no costs for the awesome range of live music performed – the dance floor was well and truly full!
We also owe immense gratitude to the Amblecote British Legion. Not only did they generously allow us the use of the room for free, but they only charged us a small £20 fee so we could secure the space an hour early for setting up!
This remarkable support ensured that every pound (and penny!) raised from the event can be channelled directly into supporting families in crisis across the Black Country.
Raffles, Rewards, and Record Takings!
The atmosphere on the night was electric! There was food aplenty and some truly excellent raffle prizes, kindly donated by individuals and local businesses.
We are delighted to share that we made a massive chunk of money on our raffle, boosted by our pre-event ‘Spin to Win’ game on Facebook! Thank you so much to everyone who played the games and to those kind individuals and companies who contributed prizes. Every single prize ticket bought helped us get closer to our goal.
A special note of thanks also goes to those who couldn’t make the event but donated to us anyway – your support means the world and shows the true heart of our TGR family!
The Grand Total Reveal!
Once all our minimal outlay had been calculated and we’d counted up all the kind donations from ticket sales, food sales, and raffle ticket sales, we are incredibly pleased and proud to share that we raised a GRAND TOTAL of £1214.01! 🥳
This is a phenomenal amount that will go a really long way to helping so many individuals and families who are genuinely in need of support. It enables us to continue responding quickly to schools and agencies making referrals for children and families facing a crisis through no fault of their own.
Thank you, again, to everyone involved! Whether you bought a ticket, donated a prize, performed, or gave your time – you helped make this our most successful fundraiser yet!
Now that we know what’s possible, we’re already buzzing with ideas to arrange the next one – watch this space!
