These Terms and Conditions govern the referral process and support provided by The Goodwill Revolution (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By making a referral or accepting support from us, you (“referrer” or “recipient”) agree to these Terms and Conditions.
- Referrals:
- Eligibility: Referrals will only be accepted from individuals working directly with members of the public in a professional capacity (e.g., social workers, teachers, healthcare professionals, charity workers). Referrals from family members or friends of the individual in need will not be accepted to ensure impartiality and appropriate assessment.
- Equal Consideration: All referrals will be given equal consideration based on the information provided and available resources. We strive to support as many individuals and families as possible, but we cannot guarantee that every referral will result in support.
- Information Accuracy: Referrers must provide accurate and complete information about the individual or family in need, including their specific needs and circumstances.
- Confidentiality: Referrers must obtain the consent of the individual or family before making a referral and ensure that any sensitive information shared is done so in compliance with relevant data protection regulations.
- Support:
- Needs-Based Support: Support will be provided based on a thorough assessment of the recipient’s needs and the availability of resources. We aim to provide the most appropriate and impactful support possible.
- Support Duration: Once a referral is approved and support is offered, this support will typically be valid for one month from the date of offer. After this period, the support offer will be revoked, unless otherwise agreed upon by The Goodwill Revolution. Recipients may reapply for support after the revocation period.
- Form of Support: Support will primarily be provided in the form of vouchers redeemable at selected local businesses or through the provision of specific items (e.g. furniture, household goods). Cash will not be given directly to recipients.
- Item/Equipment Ownership & Warranty: Any items or equipment purchased through The Goodwill Revolution and provided to a recipient become the property of the recipient. We are not responsible for the maintenance or repair of these items. Where applicable, we will pass on any manufacturer’s warranty to the recipient. Warranty issues should be addressed directly with the manufacturer following their terms and conditions.
- Furniture/Equipment Condition: While we make every effort to ensure that donated furniture and equipment are in good working order, we cannot guarantee their condition. Recipients accept items “as is.”
- Accidental Damage: In the event that equipment provided by The Goodwill Revolution is accidentally damaged, we regret that we are unable to provide a replacement. Our resources are limited, and we prioritise supporting as many individuals and families as possible. We encourage recipients to explore options such as home insurance or other personal resources to cover potential accidental damage.
- Limitation of Liability: The Goodwill Revolution acts in good faith to provide support to those in need. However, we are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from the use of items or equipment provided, or from the support provided in general.
- Donations:
- Use of Funds: All donations received by The Goodwill Revolution will be used solely for the purpose of supporting individuals and families in need within the Black Country and for the operational expenses of the organisation (such as bank transaction fees, website charges etc.).
- Transparency: We are committed to transparency and will provide regular updates to our donors about how their contributions are making a difference.
- General:
- Modification of Terms: We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on our website.
